We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. The back ground colour is the same as that of the figure...change the colours a bit so that the figure in the foreground pops out.
My advice...since you have heavy shadows in the foreground, make the back ground lighter. Or you could make the Reds in the figure more intense.

Here, I had fun doing this...but I'll bet you can do much much better since you have the original files/layers.
You will see a difference.
